today is a historical day for Indonesia. its 2nd former president, HM. Soeharto, passed away. million and millions of Indonesians stunned, i believe. i, myself, tried not to be so sentimental about it...but failed. may be because i grew up knowing that " he is the leader of my country" feeling stays. good bye, Pak Harto. you're the greatest leader i've ever known.

Mr Soeharto was one of greatest indonesian leader, i'm very proud of him because he built Indonesian economy from devaluation in that time.But i'm disappointed too, because of corruption he had made.

im not so sure every thing on mr.Suharto's death ceremony will be very sad.
because all of the ministry ride's 'ojek' to reach astana giribangun the problem is the people line up on the street to watch the car that carry mr.Suharto dead body.
And they must pay more for only that day

I was suprised when I heard that Mr. Soeharto was dead. I didn't know why Mr. Soeharto could be an idol for a lot of people.I thought that Mr. Soeharto was an evil man, because he sent his murderer to killed a lot of people that againsted his intellegence.but, today I was regonized by mrs. Metty. Mr. Soeharto was a greatest leader in Indonesia. If he still be an president, I am sure, Indonesia can be safe. Besides that, The other countries will be afraid to steal Indonesia's cultur. And they'll also afraid to suffer the workers (TKI/TKW)from Indonesia.because mr. Soeharto will kill men that killed his citizens that work in the other contries, hehehehehe.. it's my opinion about Mr. Soeharto..

He is a second president of Indonesia. he got a achivements from FAO, about farming in our country. But, he had a mistake too, he borrow much money from other country. From that, now Indonesia had many "hutang"(in Indonesian meaning hehehe...).

I think Mr.Soeharto was a good president because the fact is Indonesia is much better now than Indonesia before him.Every family has a colorded tv set, a motorcycle and even a car. Everywhere we go the roads are asphalted. Indonesian people eat and drink enough, wear good clothes.
I can understand that some people still have hard feeling against Mr.Soeharto because they might have lost their father, mother or brother during G-30S-PKI. Also during the Reformation
Revolution some activists were gone after being kidnapped.

First of all, I want to say sorry if my comment is not nice to hear .
Because I am an Chinese-Indonesian, of course, I cannot for get what Mr.Soeharto had done to us. He made us change our Chinese names. He also forbade chinese newspaper, magazines and all books written in Chinese. Speaking Chinese was also forbidden, so were shop names and so were dragon and barongsai performances. We were prohibited to celebrate Chinese new year.
One thing I respect him is that he was not against religions. He was good to religions. Indonesian people had freedom to have our religions, islam, protestant, catholic, hindu and budhist. Even we can use Chinese language in the worship.

i feel very sad, people in Indonesia do too. he passed away at pertamina central hospital in jakarta.
i knew from tv that soeharto. the forner president was the only president who ruled for 32 years in Indonesia. he was born at kemusuk a small village near yogyakarta. a lot of officialis and important persons visited him when he was still seriusly sick. when he passed away. a lot of people came to say the condo lence and saw the funeral. mr. soeharto has given much service and dedicadion the Indonesia.
